The MTS AG is developing software for CNC grinding-machines and represents at the same time the marketing organisation for this software.

Specialists are using the well known product "tool-kit PROFESSIONAL" for production and regrinding of simple and complex tools.

MTS AG in Switzerland is since several years worldwide a reliable partner for tool-makers and machine-manufacturers. The result of this cooperation is a userfriendly product with a modular concept, integrated collision-control, visualizations, online-help-functions  and  3D-simulation as an option.

The Software supports the production and regrinding of milling, drilling and lathe tools. tool-kit PROFESSIONAL is modularly designed so that customized applications can be provided for a large number of tool geometries.

tool-kit PROFESSIONAL is noted for its clear, logical structure. The user is automatically guided by the program through the setup and handling of the workpieces that are to be processed. The Software is organized in three main areas that administer the machine, wheel and tool data.

Data entry is directly supported by graphical parameter definitions. An additional Online Help can be called at any time.

tool-kit PROFESSIONAL offers 2D and 3D Visualization for tool and wheel data entry areas as well as in the wheel path calculation. Optionally the machine model and the CNC kinetmatic simulation can also be represented in 3D.

The software has a specially developed database system with time-optimized access to workpiece, wheel and technology data.

The database structure can be appropriately organized to fit user requirements. The “topdown” architecture ensures that the amount of imput data is automatically minimized in every step of the production process.

The complete grinding process, including all technology data, is recorded in the database. Thereby the perfect reproduction of a previously optimized process is assured.

The operator can create preset values in the form of tables for often used tool families. With the push of a button the tool can be automatically generated and loaded directly into the machine.

The program can be supplied with collision control. An analysis of all collision relevant objects is carried out when the machine code is generated. A graphical visualization facilitates the detailed recording of possible collision situations so that the operator can easily

analyze and correct errors during data entry or wheel setup.

tool-kit PROFESSIONAL supports all standard probe systems and has its own probing routines for the different tool geometries. Interfaces to external measurement systems are also implemented.
